The meetup thing is realllllly coolamundo.

Last week was a complete blast, except for the stupid traffic from the hollywood bowl causing our respective limo drivers to make us late. We told the Happy Ending that they should spring the extra 6k for the helicopter but you know… penny wise/pound foolish. Or something.

Back to the point… We all agreed it was one of the finest shows we’ve played. There was new blood there from the meetup.com folks and that added a nice twist. Newer songs were requested and mangled by us, different songs were requested and mangled so the entire night had a very Lost Boys meets Dream a Little Dream II vibe.

That means it was awesome, fool!!

Speaking of new songs, there have been a couple of requests over in the requests requests requests area but not enough to get me to skip AA meetings and blow our sobriety by doing enough Bolivian Red Bull to stay awake and concentrate enough to learn new songs. You catch my meaning?

Speaking of rehab…

Corey Hardt is going to be playing with Steel Panther in San Diego for the next two weeks, so his twin brother Corey Hardt is going to sit in with us. He was actually the first drummer for Coreyoke, but a while back, we did a gig in Santa Barbara. Little did we know, leaving Los Angeles County broke his probation, so he went back to the pokey for a couple of years. Fortunately, Corey’s twin, Corey plays as good as Corey, so having Corey in the band is virtually as similar to having the replacement Corey fill in for his brother, the original replacement Corey.

They don’t look much alike, though.

Wacky. Totally wacky, brah.
